Solutions
Live in a sectional title complex or estate? We help you get the trustees on board, install a charger in your bay and keep the billing fair.
Start by talking to your managing agent or a trustee. Ask whether the scheme already has an EV charging policy, and whether your bay is part of your section, an exclusive use area or common property. That decides what kind of approval you need.
Next, book a site assessment. We look at your bay, the cable route, the DB board you’d be connected to and the building’s spare capacity. From that we put together an approval pack: a short proposal, a cable-route sketch, the charger’s specifications and a proposed billing method.
Send the pack to your trustees. If you’d like them to understand the bigger picture, point them to our page for body corporates and HOAs, which explains the approval process from their side. This is general information, not legal advice.
The most common objection from neighbours is cost. If your charger runs off common property, the body corporate’s electricity bill goes up. We solve that with a sub-meter on each charger, or by connecting to your own meter where the wiring allows, so you pay only for what you use.
Once you have written consent, our registered electricians handle the installation, test the circuit and issue a Certificate of Compliance. Most residents choose a 7 kW wallbox from our home AC chargers. Ready to start? Request a quote and tell us it’s for a complex.
Why it works
We prepare a clear proposal covering the charger, the cable route, the load on the building and how the electricity will be paid for.
Each charger can be sub-metered or connected to your own supply, so neighbours aren't paying for your charging.
We check the complex's spare capacity and can add load management, so more residents can charge later without overloading the supply.
Every new circuit is tested and certified with a Certificate of Compliance, which trustees and managing agents will ask for.
Why it works
Trustees worry about three things: safety, cost to the body corporate and fairness to other owners. Our approval pack answers all three in plain language, with drawings and a load check, so your request is easier to approve.

Ways to charge
The right route depends on where you park and how the building is wired.
A 7 kW wallbox wired from your unit's DB board or a sub-metered supply.
Dual-socket chargers in visitor or shared bays, billed per user.
We check the building's capacity and cable routes before anyone commits.
Our process
One team from first enquiry to a working, certified charger. You always know what happens next.
Tell us about your property, your vehicles and what you want to achieve. Photos of your DB board help.
We check your supply, available load, cable route and mounting position, on site or from photos.
A written, itemised quote: charger, installation, any upgrades and the CoC. No surprises later.
Registered electricians install a dedicated, protected circuit and mount the charger neatly.
We configure the charger, test it with you, hand over the CoC and show you how to use it.

In most schemes, yes. The prescribed conduct rules require trustees' written consent for changes to the outside appearance of a section or exclusive use area, and work on common property needs a body corporate resolution. Your scheme may also have its own rules, so check with your managing agent.
You should. We can connect the charger to your unit's own meter where the wiring allows, or fit a sub-meter so the body corporate can recover the cost from you. How that's billed is decided by the body corporate.
Trustees and owners make that decision under the scheme's rules and the law. A clear proposal that covers safety, load and billing gives you the best chance. If there's a dispute, the Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) handles scheme disputes.
Not necessarily. Long cable runs cost more, and sometimes it's simpler to supply the charger from a common-property board with a sub-meter. The site assessment tells you which option makes sense.
Yes, but you'll need the owner's agreement as well as the trustees' consent. We can prepare the pack for both.
It depends on your scheme. Trustee consent can be quick, but if a resolution of owners is needed it may have to wait for a meeting or a notice period. We'll give you the paperwork early so it doesn't hold you up.
