Yes. An EV charger needs a new dedicated circuit, which is an addition to your electrical installation. A registered person must test that work and issue a CoC. Every StrataCharge installation includes the CoC.
Yes. Most South African homes are on single-phase, which suits a charger of about 7 kW. That is enough to fill most EVs overnight. We check your supply and main breaker before recommending a charger.
Usually, yes, but the trustees must give consent first and the scheme may need a resolution. We prepare an approval pack with the load assessment, layout and metering plan to help your trustees decide.
It depends on the charger, the distance from your DB board and any upgrades needed. Our standard home installs start from [From R X,XXX incl. VAT]. You get a fixed written quote after we have seen your site or photos.
Not on grid power alone. If you have, or plan to add, a suitably sized inverter and battery, charging can continue at a reduced rate. We will tell you honestly what your system can support.
